Dare to Do What You Love–Getting from Here
to There

“All glory comes from daring to begin.”
—Unknown

Honoring your dreams is a process which needs to be repeated day after day, month after month, year after year, until it becomes second nature to you. Getting to that all-important first step toward going for your dreams can sometimes feel frightening or overwhelming. However, stepping out is precisely the fuel you need to start your fire and to keep it burning brightly.

Remember those childhood dreams and goals you once held dear but tucked away after listening to someone’s unkind words or misplaced guidance.

Cry, if you must, for how much you miss them and for neglecting them for so long.

Bring them out in to your world again, dust them off and polish them up.

Shine a bright, new light on them so you can’t help but see them clearly.

Choose to pay attention to them now.

Stretch out your arms to embrace them, and pick them up.

Dance around the room joyfully with them.

Own them again. They’re yours.

Breathe new life into them with your enthusiasm.

Grow them in your mind with your kind thoughts.

Feed them every day with your actions, taking simple, baby steps, if necessary.

Protect them like you would your own children, sharing them with only those you trust.

Build a network of supportive people.

Ask for help when you need it. Ask again, and again.

Risk being rejected for your ideas.

Do them for yourself.

Promise yourself you’ll keep going no matter what.

Keep your promises.

Dazzle yourself with your genius.

Go ahead. I dare you.
